This type of Teacher-graded Assignment often requires you to submit work in an answer field or submission box. Read directions carefully. See the example below:

When you click "Add submission" at the bottom of the page, the text box or answer field will open for you to complete your assignment. You can still see the directions for the assignment.

Enter your work in the online text box. There are limited editing options. You may want to compose your responses in a word processing document first, and then copy and paste it into the text box. This allows you to spell-check your work, check word count, and save it as a back-up copy.

When you are finished, select "Save changes" under the text box. This does not submit your assignment. The next screen you will see is:

If you need to return to the assignment, select "Edit my submission". If you are ready for the teacher to grade it, select "Submit assignment."
